CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN

There was once a magician and his magic top hat... It is not just a fairy tale; it’s also the website presentation of Monsieur Christian Louboutin, the famous couturier. At the age of twelve, he noticed a sign in a museum forbidding women to enter with stiletto heels to avoid damaging the floor. And with that image, he became obsessed with designing shoes.
After designing for Charles Jourdan, and freelancing with Chanel and Yves Saint-Laurent, he opened his own boutique in Paris in 1992. It was a growing success and he began to make his mark on the world of fashion with shoe designs that were tall, thin-heeled, voluptuous, and unmistakable because of his signature bright red soles. The idea for the color came from his assistant’s red nail polish. Every season this designer provides us with stunning shoes that leap, jump, dance and walk. His designs are inspired by his passion for gardening and Asia and each have a distinct, sought after touch. They also each have a name. His stilettos have always been revered by celebrities so he took the red carpet by storm. Catherine Deneuve, Cameron Diaz, Sarah Jessica Parker, who betrayed “Carrie’s” beloved Manolo Blahnik by wearing the "red soled shoes" in Sex and the City 2, just to name a few.
Christian Louboutin is every woman's first port of call for outfit-transforming wardrobe updates.
